Judith Bush - Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, ACSW, MSW
Family and individual development has been a central theme in my work since beginning a social work career in 1967. For many years, I practiced within an agency. A focus on how best to support families coping with challenges after adoption characterized my last agency years. Since 1998, I have had a private counseling practice: Adoption Conversations. My counseling work is now generalized to helping children, adolescents, adults, and families seeking to understand themselves and improve their relationships or their functioning. Each situation prompting a call for help is different. Brief therapy is sometimes the best approach; longer term work is what makes sense for others. Goal setting with clients establishes a direction for our work, and provides an avenue for assessing the value of the time we spend together. I help clients find their strengths even as they look deeply at the sadness, frustrations, and disappointments they experience in some of their roles or stage of life. My counseling is grounded in the trust and hopefulness that clients bring to the therapeutic process. Please feel free to contact me at 603-790-8283 or email at jbush@together.net.
Kim Estes - Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, MSW
My work involves counseling and consulting services to adults, children, adolescents and families. Previous experience in the hospital and community mental health setting is the basis for my continued work. By establishing a comfortable, open and safe environment in which clients learn, grow and implement change, I focus on creating a therapeutic alliance and guide my clients to achieve their goals. My approach is client centered, non-judgmental and collaborative. I support youth, adults and families in transition, by fostering resilience through attachment, self-regulation and competency as well as working with individuals and families on the issues of care giving, aging and challenging health conditions. The main focus of my work is to assist individuals and families to understand and develop the skills they need to cope and thrive. Sharon Goedkoop - Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, LICSW
Prior to starting a private practice in 2013, I had many years of experience working in an agency with children, individuals and families struggling with complex life situations including blended families, foster care, adoption, transition to adulthood, identity issues. I also have experience in a hospital setting with people struggling with chronic and terminal illness. I believe that life transitions and times of crisis can be times of growth, opportunities for reflection and positive change. My ideal clients are youth age 14 and older to senior citizens. My particular interest is work with all members of the adoption triad, including support around birth family connections and the search and reunion process. I am trained to provide therapy for youth with trauma/attachment difficulties, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy/Attachment-Focused Family Therapy. I have a systems background and my therapeutic style is eclectic, including narrative and family systems therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing. I provide support and coaching for parents of explosive, troubled youth so that the entire family can benefit. Most insurances accepted. Julia Healy - Clinical Social Worker/Therapist, MSW
I offer adolescents, adults and family units the opportunity to work through challenging life situations through the creation of a therapeutic alliance. The client and I create collaborative goals and with the assistance of various therapeutic techniques such as active listening and motivational interviewing, we work together in a partnership to achieve them. I provide a supportive environment in which individuals and families feel empowered to address personal challenges and learn to build the skills to address them in every day life. My practice is open to people of all populations from children to the elderly. I bring experience from a hospital environment supporting patients who were confronting challenges from injuries, illness and long term chronic pain. I have also worked with individuals and families who are managing grief, loss and the bereavement process.
